Firefighters save one Greensboro home, three people from fire Tuesday

Three people are safe after a house fire raged on Woodbine Drive in Greensboro this Tuesday afternoon.

The call went out at around 4:00 p.m. that day, with Greensboro Fire Department responding quickly to the blaze. The fire started at 27 Woodbine Drive in Greensboro.

When they arrived, firefighters found the house engulfed in flames, and a second house nearby beginning to smoke, as well.

Hale County Emergency Management Agency credited the quick work of Hale County E-911 dispatchers in getting help to the fire in time.

Greensboro Police Department, Hale County? Sheriff’s Department, and Hale County EMS responded to the scene, as well. Greensboro VFD’s fire engines No. 1 and No. 2 were dispatched to the fire, as well as the department’s newly-acquired platform truck.

First responders were able to get the fire under control before it destroyed the neighboring house. Three people were at home when the fire broke out, but all three escaped without injuries.
