Greensboro Police Department arrested Jerry LeMat Bates, 36, on a slew of charges last week, including the theft and forgery of checks from a well-known local business. Police Chief Mike Hamilton said Monday that his department expects to make more arrests in relation to the theft of checks, which were subsequently forged, from Kynard Logging. Bates was also arrested for domestic violence, and on five counts of failure to appear.
Arrests
Other arrests recorded by the department during the last part of April include: Charles Anthony Agee, 54, who was arrested April 14 for Public Intoxication. Christopher Grice, 39, who was arrested April 27 for harassment. Carnell Eric Patrick, 32, who was arrested April 28 for domestic violence— menacing and domestic violence—harassment. Hamilton said he wanted to encourage all Greensboro residents to be wary and report suspicious activity. “If you see something, say something. Dial 911,” he said. He also extended congratulations to the local 2022 high school graduates. “I wish you all much success,” he said.
