John, born to the late Clara Walthall Ridley and John Ridley, Sr. in Hale County, Alabama on March 12, 1941, passed away March 22, 2022. A man of many trades, John was a Mason and also pursued his passion in cars by fixing the machines brought to him by people far and wide. He also joined a farming group, finding joy and success in harvesting all manner of vegetation. John Ridley, Jr. is survived by his wife Patricia Ridley; sons, Charles Edward Fields or Sawyerville, AL., John Ridley, III (Lori) of Snellville, GA, Jeff Ridley of Georgia, Steve Williams of Toronto, Canada, Danny Davis (Danielle) of Toronto, Canada, Phillip Ruffin (Shirley) of Hampton, GA, Rodney Ruffin (Michelle) of Buffalo, NY, Sidney Ruffin of Fayetteville, GA; brothers, Leroy Harris (Rhonda) of Richville, OH, Bobby E. Harris (Anita) of Serra Vista, AZ; sisters Wylona White of Sawyervilla, AL., and Dorothy Ellis of Sawyervilla, AL., as well as grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held on April 2, 2022, 2PM at the Bass Tabernacle CME Church, officiated by Rev. Eddie C. Richardson and with Washington and Paige Mortuary directing.
