On Wednesday, April 6, Greensboro High School revealed in a social media post that a “THC edible” was found on campus.

The post began by urging parents for help, “This is scary and we are very concerned,” read the opening line.

“It has come to our attention that a THC edible has made it to our campus. This is very concerning because the EMS has been called once” continued the post.

GHS emphasized to parents, “This is another moment to remind all parents to tell their children not to eat something that someone gives them.”

The post went on to express that “with the new cannabis-related laws,” future incidents may be imminent for the school. The incident comes as reports of similar incidents climb nationwide. Greensboro High School also stated in the post that sunglasses were not allowed in school. Adding that consequences would follow any violations of the rules.

In closing, the post thanked parents for their “support in keeping all students safe.”
