Sister LaTonia Shawna James died March 12 at the age of 36. She was born Sept. 15, 1985 in Tuscaloosa County to the late Catherine James and Randy Hambright.
She confessed hope in Christ at an early age and joined St. James Missionary Baptist Church. She was employed by Hunter Creek Nursing Home as head chef.
Survivors include her children, E’Mya Dixon, Antonio Dixon, Jr., Kylen Dixon and Devin James; finance, Danielle Bowden; brother, Antonio James; sister, Danielle James; nieces, Katheryn Taylor and Kira Taylor; aunt, Barbara Eatmon; uncles, Billy James, Cornell (Dian) James Sr. and Daniel (Eloise) James Sr.; a loving godmother, Shirley Allen, and a host of cousins and other loved ones whom she love dearly.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 19 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Moundville with Washington and Paige Mortuary directing.
