Hale County Schools Superintendent Michael Ryans was honored as an Education Champion at a Teach For America gala this month. Ryans received the Education Champion Honoree award at the event, which marked TFA’s 15th anniversary in the region.

ECW scholarship applications due April 30
The Episcopal Church Women of Alabama are accepting applications for their 2026 scholarship program. Applications opened Feb. 27 and are due April 30. Homecoming service set for May 17 at Mt. Carmel Church
